Rush Hour 3

Arriving in theaters on August 10, 2007, "Rush Hour 3" sees the beloved action comedy duo of Tucker and Chan reprising their roles as LAPD Detective James Carter and Chinese Chief Inspector Lee respectively. This time around, the two must travel to Paris to battle a wing of the Chinese organized crime family, the Triads. "Rush Hour 3" is being produced by Ratner, Jay Stern, and Arthur Sarkissian and executive produced by Roger Birnbaum ("Memoirs of a Geisha") and Jon Glickman ("The Pacifier").

ไม่ต้องมาซีเรียสอะไรมากมาย และหนึ่งโปรแกรมเอาใจผู้ชมในวงกว้าง 5 มกราคม 2007 ก็คือ หนังตลกผสมแอ๊กชั่น (เบาะๆ) Code Name: The Cleaner หนังนิวไลน์ที่มีนักแสดงตลกผิวหมึกร่างอ้วน... เซ็ดดริก ดิ เอนเตอร์เทนเนอร์ เป็นผู้แสดงนำ เรื่องราวหลักก็เป็นอย่างที่ชื่อหนังว่าเอาไว้เด๊ะๆ คือเซ็ดดริกก็คือภารโรงความจำเสื่อม ที่คิดว่าตังเองเป็นสายลับ แต่ไม่เชื่อก็ต้องเชื่อ... ว่าเขาบ้าจนกลายเป็นว่ากำลังจะเปิดโปงชาวเอฟบีไอกลุ่มที่เกี่ยวข้องกับคดีค้าอาวุธฉาว ซึ่งนั่นแหละจุดเริ่มต้นของความสนุกทั้งหลายที่นิวไลน์บอกว่าหนังเรื่องนี้มี นี่คงต้องเป็นหนังนิวไลน์ฟอร์มรองนิดๆ ซึ่งจะเห็นได้ที่ชื่อของสองนางเอกของเรื่อง แต่ก็อีก... แฟนๆ ของ ลูซี่ ลิว หละ นิโคลเล็ต เชอริแดน (จอทีวีจาก Desperate Housewives) ก็มีไม่น้อยเหมือนกัน เพราะงั้นนี่ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งโปรเจกต์ที่มีโอกาสสร้างเซอร์ไพรส์ตั้งแต่ต้นปีนี้ได้เลย 
นอกจากอังกฤษ, อัฟริกัน-อเมริกัน และสแปนิชแล้ว ยอดฝีมืออีกกลุ่มที่มีโอกาสอย่างสูงที่จะเป็นผู้เข้าชิงของออสการ์ในสาขานักแสดงครั้งใหม่นี้ก็คือ ญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งนอกเหนือจาก รินโกะ คิคูชิ จาก Bable แล้ว สองผู้แสดงฝ่ายชายของ Letters From Iwo Jima อย่าง เคน วาตะนาเบ้ และ คาซุนาริ นิโนมิยะ ต่างก็มีโอกาสเป็นผู้เข้าชิงม้ามืดในสาขานำชายและสมทบชายตามลำดับ แต่ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้นก็คงต้องขึ้นอยู่กับว่าตัวหนังเองจะมาแรงแซงโค้งและมีบารมีพอที่จะเทียบเคียงกับหนังตัวเต็งอย่าง The Departed และ Dreamgirls ยามที่เปิดตัวในวงกว้างต้นปี 2007 ได้หรือเปล่า แต่ที่แน่ๆ หนังเป็นขวัญใจนักวิจารณ์โดยถ้วนทั่วไปแล้ว ยิ่งมองว่านี่เป็นหนังเอพิกขายเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์ที่มาพร้อมกับความยิ่งใหญ่และความสำคัญในตัว ท้ายที่สุด Letters From Iwo Jima อาจจะเป็น Saving Private Ryan แห่งปี 2006 เอาได้ง่ายๆ คิดไปคิดมาหนังน่าจะมีโอกาศไม่แพ้ใครในการเป็นผู้เข้าชิงออสการ์มากสาขาที่สุด และนอกจากสองนักแสดงดังกล่าว หนังน่าจะเป็นตัวเต็งทั้งสาขาภาพยนตร์, ผู้กำกับคลินต์ อีสวู้ด, บทดัดแปลง.. ไอริส ยามาชิตะ และพอล แฮ็กกิส, โปรดักชั่นดีไซน์ ... สำหรับเฮนรี่ บัมสเต็ดที่ทำให้ถ้ำในเบเกอร์สฟีลด์, แคลิฟอร์เนียดูเหมือนไอโวจิม่าของจริง และยังรวมไปถึงงานกำกับภาพ, ตัดต่อ และดนตรี ที่สำคัญหนังยังซีเรียสกว่าใครในกลุ่ม ซึ่งเท่าที่ผ่านมาถูกรสนิยมออสการ์มากที่สุดเสียด้วย 
เอาเข้าจริง Casino Royale เป็นความสำเร็จที่มากเกินคาด เพราะมาถึงตอนนี้ หนังบอนด์เรื่องที่มีผู้คนคอยทุบก่อนหนังจะเปิดตัว ครองสถิติหนังบอนดทำเงินสูงสุดทั่วโลกตลอดกาลไปแล้ว หนังเป็นเจ้าของรายรับรวมนอกอเมริกา $304 ล้านในสุดสัปดาห์คริสต์มาส รวมอีก $144 ล้านในอเมริกา หมายถึง Casino Royale มีรายรับรวมเข้ากระเป๋าไปแล้ว $448 ล้าน มากกว่าแชมป์เก่า Die Another Day ... $17 ล้าน ที่สำคัญรายรับรวมทั่วโลกของหนังบอนด์เรื่องใหม่นี้ไม่ได้หยุดแค่นี้ ณ จุดนี้ Casino Royale ครองอันดับที่ 41 หนังทำเงินตลอดกาลในตลาดนอกอเมริกาและเป็นหนังปี 2006 เรื่องที่ 4 ที่ทำรายรับรวมนอกอเมริกาเกิน $300 ล้าน ตามหลัง Pirate of the Caribbean: Daed Man's Chest, The Da Vinci Code และ Ice Age: The Meltdown ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าหนังจะลบคำปรามาสได้หมด ที่สำคัญทั้งตัวหนังและบอนด์คนใหม่ แดเนียล เคร็ก ล้นแต่เป็นขวัญใจของนักวิจารณ์ที่ในการสรุป Top 10 ความยอดเยี่ยมของปี 2006 ในการจัดอันดับส่วนตัว ต่างก็ได้คะแนนในอันดับต้นๆ กันไปถ้วนทั่ว บางคนถึงขนาดบอกว่าเวทีรางวัลทั้งหลาย ในส่วนของนำชายยอดเยี่ยม ลืมชื่อ... แดเนียล เคร็กกันไปหรือเปล่า หวังว่าทั้งผู้สร้างและเคร็กคงไม่เหลิงในการกลับมาครั้งต่อไป
